Providing face to face and online counselling support for adults and young people.

I am a Registered Counsellor based in Eltham, Melbourne. I provide support for people who struggle with anxiety, depression, adjustment problems, grief and loss, interpersonal relationship difficulties, mental health difficulties, domestic abuse, and anger-related issues.

I trained as a registered nurse and completed a post-graduate certificate in neurological and neurosurgical nursing and held a senior position managing an acute neurosurgical unit. This intensive work has equipped me to manage crisis situations. I am cognisant of the deep impact of brain trauma, disability, and chronic illness - on both patients and their families. As a mother of three adults, I understand the often-daunting task of raising a family and the importance of effective communication - with a modicum of humour and self-belief!

I take a person-centred and holistic approach to my counselling therapy and work closely with my clients to help them recognise self-defeating patterns, overcome limitations, and gain a better understanding of themselves.

"At the heart of her practice is focus on mindfulness and bringing clients’ awareness into the present."

I'm excited to welcome adults into my practice for individual counselling. I place great value on the connection between counsellor and client and am available for face-to-face sessions at my Eltham counselling centre, as well as remote counselling sessions during the week and weekends.

My message to clients

I enjoy my work and engaging with people and bring a contemplative, fluid perspective to the exploration of the lives of my clients. I can clearly identify intergenerational patterns and how such patterns affect whole families and I endeavour to engender a sense of understanding, self-reflection, true self-compassion, and hope through psychology.

I am easy to relate to, strong but gentle, and able to bear witness to a high degree of distress.

I practice a person-centred approach to counselling, this means that I view you, the client, as the expert of your own world.
